A bridal trial or consultation is not compulsory but is recommended so that you can be sure that your chosen style or look works for you on your big day. It also means that you get to know your makeup artist before the wedding and can get ready in a relaxed manner.
A makeup trial will take about 90 minutes. The makeup artist can offer professional advice and suggestions so that you have a look that suits your skin type and colouring, and that meets your expectations. Bookings are usually taken for weekdays as artists are busy at weddings on weekends. Evening appointments may be available out of season, or where there are no weddings the following morning, with a 25 per cent surcharge applied for appointments after 4pm.
The cost of a bridal trial/consultation is inclusive with the cost of makeup on the wedding day, which is $200. This includes a set of luxury temporary false lashes.
For members of the bridal party, a consultation and a trial run will cost $50.
If you want the makeup artist to come to your home, travel costs will also be charged if the distance is more than 10 miles.
